Meet Dr. Peter Martinez & Dr. Sean Forbes

🏆 15+ Years Combined Experience

👨‍⚕️ Advanced pediatric certifications
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents themselves
💙 Sensory-friendly specialists

Our doctors have over 15 years of combined experience in pediatric chiropractic care. Dr. Martinez completed advanced certification in pediatric techniques through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, while Dr. Forbes specializes in gentle, sensory-friendly approaches for children with neurodevelopmental differences.

Both doctors are parents themselves and understand the unique challenges ADHD families face. They’ve helped many South Austin families find ways to support their children’s overall wellness and comfort.

Our approach focuses on supporting your child’s physical comfort through gentle spinal care. While we use advanced scanning technology to assess spinal function, we’re careful to explain that improvements families report – like better sleep, increased comfort, or general wellness – are subjective experiences that vary from child to child.

Supporting Your Child’s Comfort & Well-being

We don’t claim to treat ADHD – that’s a neurodevelopmental condition best managed by your medical team. Instead, we focus on supporting your child’s overall physical comfort and wellness through gentle chiropractic care.

Some families find that when children are more physically comfortable, they may experience improvements in sleep quality, general mood, or overall well-being. Small case studies have documented parent-reported improvements in some children, though larger controlled studies are still needed.

💤 Better sleep quality reported by families
😌 Increased physical comfort
🌟 Support for overall well-being
🤝 Complements your medical treatment

Every adjustment is extremely gentle and tailored specifically for pediatric patients. We understand that children with ADHD can be sensitive to new environments, so we’ve created a sensory-friendly space with a quiet play area and soft lighting where they feel safe.

This isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about providing supportive care that complements your child’s medical treatment and gives your family another tool for supporting their well-being.

A Sensory-Friendly Space in South Austin

You’ll find us at 8708 S. Congress Ave, with free parking in our lot behind the building (no South Congress parking stress!). We’re easily accessible whether you’re coming from the St. Elmo area or anywhere along South Congress.

From most South Austin neighborhoods, we’re just a quick drive up Congress Avenue. If you’re coming from east of I-35, hop on Stassney Lane and head west to Congress – you’ll see our building on the right, just past the food truck cluster locals love.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first 45-minute appointment begins with a relaxed consultation where we listen to your child’s story. We want to understand their comfort challenges, sleep patterns, and daily experiences – not to diagnose ADHD, but to see how we might support their physical wellness.

Next, we’ll perform gentle, non-invasive scans that help us understand your child’s spinal function. These are completely painless (kids often think they’re cool!) and help us create a care plan specific to your child’s comfort needs.

Based on these findings, we’ll explain exactly what we found and how gentle chiropractic care might support your family’s wellness goals. We believe in complete transparency and will never pressure you into treatment.

📝 Please bring: Medical records & medication list
👥 One or both parents welcome
👶 Siblings can come too
💚 No pressure, ever – complete transparency

Please bring any previous medical records and a list of current medications or therapies. Both parents don’t need to come, but you’re welcome to bring siblings if needed.
